Whether it’s a simple weekend project or a multi-day endeavor, you can rest assured that King Innovation’s products can help you create a safe and efficient outdoor lighting system. Depending on the size of your system, you might opt for small, medium, or large wire connectors. Complex systems that span a large space need larger connectors to accommodate larger gauge wiring to reduce the chances of voltage drops. If your area is prone to more turbulent weather, you can also opt for waterproof variants, which can better shield your connections. To make quick work of any wiring job, you can also get a wire stripper and cutter combination tool with preset sizes, making it easier than ever to strip and cut wires to specific lengths without damaging the internal structure of the cable.

King Innovation connectors are ideal for low-voltage lighting applications. Renowned for quality, they provide safe and effective connections for outdoor lighting projects.
King Innovation connectors offer secure wire connections for incomparable outdoor lighting configurations, including waterproof and multi-size options. King Innovation is a brand to trust for reliable electrical solutions in all weather conditions.
King Innovation makes various lighting connectors and related supplies, including small, medium, and large wire fittings, waterproof and dry-location connectors, and wire strippers.
Your local climate, as well as the size and type of wiring used throughout your system, will determine whether you need waterproof connectors. Areas with constant or heavy rainfall throughout the year will greatly benefit from these connections, especially if the cables are unearthed over time due to loose and wet soil from rain. Before installing these connections, always read product descriptions, and don’t hesitate to contact us for additional assistance.
Make sure you add up the total wattage of your outdoor lighting fixtures first. Then, measure the distance between your farthest fixture and the main transformer for your outdoor lighting setup. With these numbers, you can then use a voltage drop calculator to determine the wire gauge you need for your system.
An outdoor connector can last you years, even more so if it’s waterproof. We recommend inspecting the connectors as part of your seasonal maintenance checks to ensure that they are still secure.
Follow all product instructions for accuracy. In general, you will start by shutting off the power. Strip the conductors and align any frayed strands. Twist the stripped conductors together and insert them into the crimp sleeve. Crimp the sleeve using a crimping tool, then push the connectors fully into the plug and insert it into the body until it snaps into place.
