This type of housing is what dictates the bulb’s directional lighting spread. The latter refers to the bulb’s diameter in terms of 1/8-inch increments. In other words, the diameter of an MR8 light bulb is one inch.

How many MR8 light bulbs do I need?

The size and low wattage of MR8 light bulbs mean that you have to use multiple bulbs to adequately light spaces. The exact number varies on the size of your space, power constraints, and your overall budget. However, we also suggest utilizing stronger bulbs with a wider beam angle to complement MR8 bulbs if you need to adequately illuminate larger areas.

Are MR8 bulbs easy to install?
