While glass better prevents premature evaporation of the bulb’s interior, it poses a dilemma if the bulb falls and breaks in your yard. Glass gently edges out plastic when it comes to durability, but plastic is easier to maintain. If pools or young children are in the equation, we recommend going the plastic route.
