An IP65 rating means that the strip light is waterproof. Specifically it’s well-protected against water jets, making it a durable outdoor lighting fixture even during periods of heavy rain or snowfall. In other words, you don’t have to worry about the lights malfunctioning because of bad weather.

Brilliance states that the maximum length per power feed is 22 feet. This means that you will need multiple power inputs past that length. Before cutting the strip measure your intended lighting area and see if you can get away with only one power input for the strip. Anything longer than 22 feet will require multiple inputs, which can complicate your installation and setup.

Similar to all outdoor lighting fixtures, we recommend regular maintenance in between seasons. Check to see that the lights aren’t flickering and that the connection is secure. If there is any dirt or debris on the strip, wipe it away with a piece of cloth. Not only does this keep the strip clean, but it also ensures that foreign particles don’t hinder its performance over time.
